LELÉKA - is a Ukrainian ethno-jazz quartet that has been captivating audiences with its distinctive style for more than 7 years. Their music is rooted in jazz, but transcends the boundaries of the genre by incorporating singer Viktoria Leléka's Ukrainian roots and the band's talent for improvisational freedom. LELÉKA, which means "stork" in English, the Ukrainian folk symbol for love and happiness, is an international line-up of four musicians who found each other in Berlin. After their nomination as "Band of the Year" at the German Jazz Award 2022 and their performances at Jazzahead 2022, the renowned German journalist Sebastian Scotney wrote: "Their two performances have stayed in the memory of many people. One remembers their amazing ability to captivate the audience and make time stand still. LELÉKA must be seen and heard live".

The band was founded by Ukrainian singer and composer Viktoria Leléka in Berlin in the spring of 2016. Already in the first years the band was awarded with prestigious prizes, such as 1st place at the European Jazz Award Burghausen 2018, 1st place at the Creole Global Music Contest 2017, 2nd place at the Munich Jazz Award 2019, thus taking its well-deserved place in the cross-border genre of chamber jazz and Ukrainian folk music. A series of tours, festivals and concerts in Germany, Ukraine, Sweden, Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, etc. and her first self-produced EPs have allowed her loyal fan base to grow. LELÉKA also wrote and produced the soundtrack for the Ukrainian history series "There will be humans" and was included in the book "111 reasons to love jazz" by Ralf Dombrowski. LELÉKA has been working with the GLM Music label and the Musszo booking agency since 2021. With their album "Sonce u Serci" (Sun in your heart) they were nominated for "Band of the Year 2022" at the German Jazz Award. LELÉKA played over 50 concerts in 2022 and became one of the artists representing Ukrainian culture in Germany and Europe.
